Onward Bound

A quaint little Japanese township I visited a few weeks back. Traditional
houses lined the streets with many waterways running through the main
tracks; in many directions which are home to the hundreds of
carp that can be found frollicking through the gaps.
I stopped in my tracks and daydreamed somewhat, and thought of life as
being a carp with only one granted wish.
I visioned myself swimming through the cool waters given to me from above;
sometimes alone and sometimes not.
The translucent water made everything crystal clear, that I was here to
confirm that all one can do, is to flow onward bound.

The Age of Innocence

The age of Innocence can be easily destroyed
if we don`t take action in our conscious daily
lives.
The future of our children depends on how
we live in our environment, keeping in mind
about our consumption of uneccesary products
which contribute quickly to killing the environment
that our children will inevitably have to exist in.
What do you do to contribute to a safer, healthier

environment for The Age of Innocence to be left

with?

Natural Feet Fungus Eating Machine!

Well lookey a here my dears!!! I came out of the ultra relaxing hot-springs
in Hida-Furukawa only to hear the loud giggles of my girlfriends which
turned the heads of each person wondering by.
Kayoko and Erina both had their legs immersed in these tanks which had
quite a few tiny fish swimming around their feet and eating the remains of
what they had left on their soles to feed the hungry fish for their evening feast!

A SMILE FROM GOD!

Heart to Heart at 6:02 pm on Monday, August 25, 2008

Image547.jpg
Just when you think of giving up hope in this crazy world, that we have
created from our own free will.
I recommend that you stop for a moment in your busy life and look at
nature; to see and feel the majestic caress of its sensational thrill.
Someone says that this is a smile directly from God!
What do you think?
Manifestations of love and support are all around us and if we bother to
slow down, just for a moment; we should be able to absorb and digest
these splendiferous fortunes that are there to put you at a peaceful lever..
Don`t give up my friends and be sensitive enough to see and receive
the beauty and kindness through nature; and those extra special family
and friends, growing with you, around all your curvy bends….

Japanese Eating Manner

Heart to Heart at 2:59 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2008

Image532.jpg
Japanese food is always beautifully presented and even after living here
for many years I didn`t know what I should eat first, when served with a
traditional meal.
It just so happened that one of my Heart to Heart students has recently
come back from a zen temple and has re-learned and taught me how to
eat in the correct manner.
First you start with tasting one of the side dishes, then you may sample
the rice; last but not least, you may then drink the miso soup.
When all that is in front of you is consumed it is then customary to pour
green tea into the empty side dishes , the rice bowl and finally the miso
soup bowl and finally after a long hard earned thirst, you may drink the tea!
This is done so that all dishes have been cleaned properly and nothing
has gone to waste.
One learns something new every day; although after interviewing several
of my Japanese colleagues and friends they didn`t seem to have any idea
what they should start with first either; when eating in the true traditional
manner!

エレベーターも、どうどうと真ん中に立ってもいい地域ともいえますね。(^^;

One Love

Image535.jpg
As I walked down a little country town
street with my beautiful friends; a couple
of days ago.
I spotted two hearts playing
together lovingly as if they had known
each other for many a day.
The shine of their deep love seemed to
melt into one solid big heart making
me wonder if this was the start of their
new role-play in these parts……….

Heart to Heart at 11:34 pm on Saturday, August 9, 2008

CREATOR

Heart to Heart at 11:31 pm on Friday, August 8, 2008

Image496.jpg
Is it possible that we have a hand in our lives as we
know it?
Can it be that we are creators` of what our futures`
will destine us to be?
Should we live with our eyes wide open in order to
create our future in the now?
Living in the present with memory of the past can
ensure quick progress if we become aware of our
harmful repetitive past actions.
If we could only understand that the universe is in our
hands; becoming a responsible creator is all that
will withstand!

THE RAINBOW TREE

Heart to Heart at 7:28 am on Wednesday, August 6, 2008

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too,
so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend. You’ll blame a new love
for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone
you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every
sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.
Don’t be afraid that your life will end,
be afraid that it will never begin.

Image494.jpg
What do you think? This was sent to me by a very special person
in my life. I just love it. I feel the tree represents me. I am a very lucky
person who has received so much love and acceptance wherever I go.
Even though I battle through life`s wonders ;  I  usually feel sparkly
at the centre of my being; just like a handful of uncut diamonds….
How can you relate to the words above? Please share with us at
Heart to Heart.

PURIFICATION

Heart to Heart at 3:23 pm on Monday, August 4, 2008

Before Hindus get married, the bride and groom

sometimes go through a purification ritual where

tumeric is rubbed all over their bodies in order

to be pure before the exchanging of promises

to each other.

This picture is taken after the ceremony as the

groom is being washed with yogurt in order to

get the yellow stains of tumeric off him in order

to be ready for his wedding night!
