An Honourable Experience

Heart to Heart at 9:31 am on Friday, July 31, 2009

I was truly honoured to meet this amazing woman of 95 who is

centred in the middle of the photo.

*

In early May, Erina(far left) , Nami(unseen..took the photo) and

I took a road trip to Nigata which is about an 8 hour drive from

Nagoya to visit Erina`s grandma.

*

Grandma is a slight built woman who is about 4 feet in height and

is  full of love, laughter and wisdom. She is simple and warm and

opened her home to Nami and I, who were complete strangers to

to her.. We  spoke to her for hours and learned many things about

her life before and after the war. She rises early, does her daily

chores and tends to her vegetable garden everyday. I found her

to be unique and special because she had no barriers and treated

me like her own granddaughter.(Although later on it was relayed

to me that she thought I was a cute young boy!)And her eyesight

is perfect!!!

*

Let us strive to be  people of love and honour and many thanks

to everyone involved in this heart warming experience.

Heart to Heart at 12:45 am on Thursday, July 30, 2009

あわててハンドルを切って、スピンして刺さったのかな?(^^;

Player or Hero?

I thought this was a cool statement that jumped out
at me on the body of a man who was sitting in front of
me at a Japanese `Wadaiko`(drum) concert a few weeks
ago.
*
I self- introspected on this message and definitely know
that I am a player and quite often feel like I am living
my own story; so what does it matter if I am not
looked upon as a hero who will become a legend?
*
How do you feel when you read this statement?
*
THE WORLD STAGE IS WHERE PLAYERS BECOME HEROES
AND THEIR STORIES BECOME LEGEND.

Heart to Heart at 11:21 pm on Friday, July 24, 2009

Heart to Heart at 10:39 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2009

To get one`s picture taken is a delicate thing.
Some people are camera shy and in contrast
some wonder why.
*
I must admit that I fit into the former group.
If I know that many people want to take my
picture I seem to get myself into a flutter.
*
How do you feel when you have to get your
picture taken?
Do you like to pose and strut
your stuff or would your prefer to disappear
into the background hoping that the camera
lenses  won`t quietly capture you there?

Responsible Choice

Heart to Heart at 5:39 am on Monday, July 6, 2009

See no Evil, Speak no Evil, Hear no Evil.

To be responsible of your own senses is a choice that you are free

to make.

A lot of people in life would rather focus on other people`s lives

rather than do what is essential on polishing their own distaste.

Responsible Choice is about focusing on what actions you need

to take in your life, not on what you would like other people to

do for you.

What do you do? Are you living life by responsible choice or are

you feeling sorry for yourself blaming the whole world for your

emotional masquerade?

歳かも。(^-^;

Flexibility

I was warmly welcomed into BLUEBERRY restaurant
which is located between exit 13 and 15 of Unimall
in the Nagoya underground.
*
The employees were courteous and accommodating
when they found that all that I could eat was anything
that wasn`t tainted with seafood or meat!
*
During their busy lunch hour they suggested they would
make me a special lunch without me requesting it and I
was especially grateful if not but surprised because in
Japan this was the first time to experience` suggestive
selling  to a ‘vegetarian’ without complications and
genuine customer service with flexibility and a smile!
*
The food is delicious and servings are small so if you
are looking for something light and tasty on the palate
make your way to Blueberry where you are guaranteed
to enjoy a peaceful meal in the heart of Nagoya in Unimall.

Heart to Heart at 8:22 am on Friday, July 3, 2009

結果、戦う前に気合負けして、場外に逃げてしまった。(^^;;
