I happened to stumble across this amazing song about a month and a half ago. I was glued to the screen because this was exactly what I’ve been learning from my Teacher for two and a half years and experiencing it in reality.
when we could really accept the things dear to each other’s hearts
that sunset that I watched with you really was breathtaking
but pushing my stubborn way through meant taking your smile away
when I realized I was doing this, the moon looked cold and frozen on the way home
the T-shirt that I took off and threw on the floor had the words Love & Peace on it
no matter what, we shouldn’t wear or take off Love and Peace depending on one’s mood
Love & Peace Inside?”
if our hearts change it must mean the world would change in the same way
in unexpected ways the world can change
to not quarrel about the small things
in order to change myself to this person
I’ll keep on asking my heart “Is there Love and Peace Inside?”
I want to change!! With the guidance of my Teacher, this will come true because He walks before me in different forms and I will not lose sight of the person walking in front of me.
First performance was a Japanese traditional dance by Na-chan and she was absolutely AMAZING! Confident with her every move and her whole demeanor glowing with assertiveness, this amazing 14 year-old performed the piece titled “Uguisu(Bush warbler)”. She’s been practicing Japanese traditional dancing for 7 years! Bravo!! Na-chan!!! Her dream is to travel all over the world.
The next performance was by her lovely mother, Hiroko, who is another AMAZING performer. She’s a professional Chinese two-string fiddler, also teaching how to create this most beautiful sound in Kagamigahara City. The whole entire time of her performance, I felt goosebumps tingling all over my arms, then up my neck, and finally up my scalp. My partner, Clarissa was lost for words after the performance and all she could say was “…beautiful, beautiful…” Hiroko told us a story how she came to be a “Niko” performer. One day, she was driving her car and heard a very beautiful sound from the car radio. It was a song called “Tsubame(Swallow)” performed by a Chinese two-string fiddler. On that same day, she purchased a Chinese two-string fiddle on the net and started teaching herself how to play. Today she performed that very same piece at Heart to Heart. Hiroko, thank you for a very touching performance!
Yoshino is the eldest daughter, 17, and she’s decided to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. She told us her story that she’d like to go to Okinawa’s Art College to pursue her dream. Clarissa told the two daughters of her experience of when she was 14 and 17, and told them that having a dream, a purpose in life is a very important thing and to never let the dream go! A truly amazing family with love and appreciation… Thank you for making today another wonderful day at Heart to Heart! We love you and good luck!!

Hello Heart to HeartReaders!
Summer’s almost ending but I’m still having fun with fireworks!! Hi, my name’s Erin and I’ve just joined the Heart to Heart teaching team.
I’m very excited about being a part of this AMAZING English Club and can’t wait to meet you in person.
Now, for aquick quiz!
What do you call a person (like myself) who has recently become involved in an activity?
hint #1: the word starts with “N”
hint #2: you can either find the word by searching through the dictionary or by simply looking at the title of this blog!
Yes! It’s the word “newcomer“!! There are many other words with similar nuances like: novice, newbie, and new kid on the block.
In Japan, people seem to be familiar with the word ニューフェイス(new face), instead of ニューカマー (newcomer)…
Is “new face” an english word or 和製英語(waseieigo/japanese english)?
What do you think???
We’re looking forward to hearing your opinions. See you soon!
